Countertops

Happy Halloween. Anyone have any trick-or-treaters? We had 43. Yep--counted 'em.

Here are some photos of the new countertops. They are quartz. Hope we didn't make a mistake by not getting granite. Seems every home improvement show we watch goes gaga over granite.

The next project is the floor. Not that fond of the green vinyl. Am thinking of trying to install a tile floor myself. Color--some shade of beige or brown, of course!

Well, that's it for today. Sure am enjoying these fall temperatures. Off to Chicago next week.

We ran out at about 200, and they were still coming.

Nice looking counters! Personally, I really think granite is overrated. How boring that almost every house that does any kitchen remodeling has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances!! In years to come everyone will be able to date the kitchen remodel "hmmm, granite and stainless steel...this must have been done in the late '90s early 2000s"

Cathie - QUARTZ should be the rage! Your countertops are beautiful. We have Corian with white enamel sinks - they both scratch easily, and I wish the builder used the popular granite instead. I'll need to investigate quartz.

Have fun with the floors! Your kitchen looks wonderful.

Raleigh and Charlotte are enjoying 60's. Nights in the 30's. Love it.

Take a coat to Chicago.
